Embracing the Dharma A Journey Beyond the Mind
Unlocking Wisdom Through Patient Contemplation
To the Buddhas, the True Dharma, and the Noble Sangha, the Three Jewels,
I take refuge from now until enlightenment forever.
With the merits accumulated through generosity and other practices,
For the benefit of all sentient beings, I aspire to attain great awakening.
🌿Quotation:
“The Dharma is about integration; you must open your heart, relax, and embrace it.”
Main Text:
Learning the Dharma is not like learning other things; it is certainly challenging and is related to the wisdom and merit accumulated from past lives.
However, no matter how difficult it is, compared to the entirety of spiritual practice, studying is already the easiest and most comfortable part.
Don’t think that doing rituals is more comfortable or that chanting mantras without engaging the mind is pleasant. Chanting mantras does not equate to true practice.
In Tibet, there is no one who cannot chant mantras, but are they all practitioners? No, the vast majority are not.
To use an appropriate common English phrase: "Bear with me, let’s carry this together, alright?"
In studying, there is the practice of patient contemplation of the Dharma, where the object of contemplation is the Buddha’s teachings. This brings immense, unique benefits. Even if you contemplate extensively and seem to have learned nothing, it still yields great merit. If you spend ten years contemplating minor principles and learn nothing, then pass away without falling into negative realms, in your next life, when you revisit these teachings, it will definitely be different.
Although we are currently in the degenerate age of the five turbidities, we also notice that a few people have great merit and wisdom. This is due to causes from past lives. Even though we are all ordinary beings, there are still differences. The path others have walked may have just passed through its hardships, appearing relatively easy now. This does not mean they never struggled. Our current struggles do not mean we will struggle forever.
For the collective, the goal is to ensure no one is left behind, allowing everyone to rise together through the group’s uplifting energy. This way, we avoid excessive hardship or even losing our way.
I have seen many intelligent people, but if they lose gratitude in their hearts, they will surely stumble. Don’t treat learning as something to devour or a height to conquer with a confrontational mindset—this will not lead to success.
The Dharma is about integration; you must open your heart, relax, and embrace it.

May all sentient beings forever possess happiness and its causes.
May all sentient beings forever be free from suffering and its causes.
May all sentient beings forever enjoy the bliss free from suffering, bringing joy to my heart.
